경주 석굴암 그로타 부처 새벽빛

📍 Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do

A UNESCO World Heritage artificial stone grotto on the Tohamsan mountain slope containing a masterwork granite Buddha dating from 751 AD. The seated Buddha receives the first light of dawn through the entrance, which was engineered with precise astronomical knowledge. The approach trail through pine forest in early morning before tour buses arrive is the recommended experience for contemplative visitors.
