Namyangju Dasan Jeong Yakyong Birthplace Tea Garden
📍 Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do
The birthplace and exile home of Jeong Yakyong, the Joseon Dynasty scholar who synthesized Western science with Confucian scholarship and designed the Hwaseong Fortress. The estate has a reconstructed study, tea garden, and museum. The tea drinking tradition Dasan practiced here gave the location a continuing connection to tea ceremony culture. Located by the Han River with mountain views.
