The eastern Seongdong area toward Haengdang-dong holds the artisan and small-manufacturer streets that predate the Seongsu cafe transformation and represent a continuation of the district's working industrial character. The view from the upper floors of the Wangsimni development over the Han River rail bridge and the eastern Han basin provides context for the area's historic transport significance.
