Seoul Forest
A 600,000 sqm urban park in Seongsu, opened in 2005 on the site of a former horse racing track and water purification plant. Four distinct zones: Culture & Art Forest with open lawns and outdoor stages, Ecology Forest with a deer enclosure and butterfly garden, Nature Experience Learning Ground, and a Wetlands Park along the Han River edge. The deer walk freely in the central zone and are a favourite with visitors. Weekend markets, yoga sessions, and film screenings activate the park regularly. The adjacent Ttukseom Hangang Park connects from the southern edge. Cafés and restaurants line the streets outside the north entrance along Seongsu-daero.
