Taejongdae at the southern tip of Yeongdo Island in Busan provides cliff-top walking paths above the Korea Strait with views toward Tsushima Island on clear days. The coastal trail passes through dense subtropical forest to the observation pavilion on the highest cliff, where the rock formations below the sea surface are visible through the clear water. The lighthouse at the southernmost point dates from the Japanese colonial period. The park is accessible by the Danubi eco-tour train from the car park or on foot via the full cliff circuit. The combination of the forest, the cliff geology, and the open sea view has no direct equivalent elsewhere in the Seoul day-trip radius.
