Dumulmeori — meaning 'two waters meet' — is the confluence of the Namhangang and Bukhangang rivers at the eastern end of Yangpyeong County, where the two major tributaries of the Han River join before flowing west toward Seoul. The sunrise over the flat water at the confluence, with morning fog and the water reflections, is one of the most photographed dawn scenes in Gyeonggi-do. A large ornamental lotus garden at the Sema-ri waterfront adjacent to the confluence is at its peak in late July and August. The area is accessible from Seoul by Gyeongui-Jungang Line to Yangsu station in about 90 minutes; the riverside walk from the station to Dumulmeori takes about 40 minutes.
