The residential alleys of Bangbaebon-dong hold a cluster of older Korean restaurants that predate the neighbourhood's gentrification and continue to operate for the long-term residents. The food is traditional and the prices are among the most reasonable in Seocho-gu. Several operations have been in the same family for over twenty years and function without any online presence or English menu. The surrounding streets are distinctly residential and quiet — far removed from the Gangnam commercial strips two kilometres to the east. Good for a lunch that feels entirely local in a district that otherwise trends toward expensive.
