Banpobon Traditional Market Alleys (반포본동 전통시장 골목)

The residential alleys around Banpobon-dong hold a small traditional market and several independent grocers and prepared food counters that operate primarily for the older population of the neighbourhood. The market is close enough to the Banpo Hangang Park tourist circuit to be geographically accessible but operates on a completely separate logic — local prices, local customers, no English menus. The surrounding residential streets are some of the quieter ones in this part of Gangnam-gu and worth walking simply for the change of pace from the riverside promenades.
