Beomeosa Temple Mountain Approach (범어사 산길 진입로)

📍 Geumjeong-gu, Busan

Beomeosa Temple in the Geumjeongsan mountains north of Busan is one of the three great temples of Gyeongsang-do and the approach trail from Beomeosasan station through the pine forest that precedes the temple complex is as significant as the temple itself. The forest path — about 1.5 km — passes through old-growth pines and the mountain air is noticeably cooler than the city below. The temple complex is active and meditation programs for non-Koreans are available. The Geumjeongsan ridge above the temple provides a full day's hiking with views of the entire Busan urban area.
