Bongraesan on Yeongdo Island in Busan gives a ridge walk above the Busan container terminal and the straits between the Korean mainland and Tsushima Island with a complete view of the port infrastructure that makes Busan the fifth-busiest container port in the world. The summit at 395 metres is reached in about an hour from the Bongraesan cable car upper terminal. The volume of container ships visible at anchor in the Korea Strait below the summit — sometimes 20 or more simultaneously — gives an immediate understanding of the scale of Korean maritime trade that no shore-level view provides. The descent via the Taejongdae direction combines with the clifftop park.
