Cheongdam Boutique Gallery Strip (청담 갤러리 거리)

A two-block stretch of Cheongdam-ro lined with independent commercial galleries showing contemporary Korean and international art. The buildings are some of the most architecturally interesting in Seoul — purpose-built white cube spaces and converted townhouses sitting next to luxury brand flagship stores. Most galleries are open to walk-in visitors during regular hours; the programming is genuine and not tied to the adjacent fashion industry. The street looks completely different at night when the gallery lighting hits the pavement.
