Coex Aquarium
Korea's largest indoor aquarium, located in the basement of the COEX mall in Gangnam. 650 species and 40,000 aquatic animals across 43 themed zones — the main tank is 2.5 million litres with sharks, rays, and large schools of fish visible from an underwater tunnel. The jellyfish gallery is the most photographed section. Popular with families and couples. Admission around 32,000 KRW; online booking skips the queue. The aquarium connects directly to the COEX Starfield Library and SMTOWN Artium through the mall, making it part of a full-day Gangnam cultural loop. Weekday mornings are the quietest.
