Euljiro Neon & Print District (을지로 인쇄골목·네온골목)

Printers and typesetters have worked the alleys off Euljiro since the 1950s. The neon sign workshops moved in around them in the 1970s and are still bending tubing and wiring transformers today. Over the past decade, graphic designers and independent publishers started renting from the same buildings, creating an accidental community of people who work with light, ink, and paper. A walk through in the late afternoon when the workshops are running is unlike anything else in Seoul.
