Eulsukdo Migratory Bird Sanctuary (을숙도 철새 도래지)

📍 Eulsukdo, Saha-gu, Busan

Eulsukdo Island at the mouth of the Nakdonggang River delta in Busan is one of the most significant wetland bird habitats in Korea, hosting populations of over one hundred migratory species including white-naped cranes, black-faced spoonbills, and various shorebirds during the spring and autumn migrations. The Nakdong Estuary Eco-Center on the island provides observation facilities and interpretation. The tidal flat ecosystem supports year-round populations of herons, egrets, and cormorants. Winter brings the largest concentrations of waterfowl. The island is accessible by bridge from the southwestern edge of Busan and the observation hides give close-range viewing without disturbance.
