Ewha Womans University Street (이대 거리)

The commercial street leading from Ewha Womans University's main gate has operated as one of Seoul's best shopping districts for women's fashion, cosmetics, and accessories since the 1980s. The campus itself is architecturally distinctive — the glass valley building by Dominique Perrault cuts into the hillside and is open to the public. The street's character is more residential-student than tourist-facing, and the price points reflect the local population rather than the Myeongdong visitor trade. The best independent fashion finds tend to be in the smaller side alleys one block east of the main road.
