Gaudo Island in Gangjin Bay is connected to the mainland by two suspension pedestrian bridges totalling 1.7 kilometres and provides a short island circuit walk with sea views of the Gangjin Bay and the surrounding celadon kiln country. The Cheonghwa Seafood District adjacent to the bridge approach on the mainland is the primary fresh oyster destination on the South Jeolla coast. The Gangjin celadon village at Daeguri holds active ceramic workshops producing celadon using the traditional Goryeo techniques, and several potters accept visitors. The full Gangjin circuit combining the celadon museum, Dasan Chodang hermitage, and Gaudo Island provides one of the most complete cultural tourism itineraries in the region.
