Guryongsan Gaepo-Side Trail (구룡산 개포 방향 등산로)

The Gaepo-dong approach to Guryongsan climbs through a forested access trail before joining the main ridge path shared with Daemosan. The lower section of the trail passes through what remains of the Guryong informal settlement — the last remaining hillside village in Gangnam-gu — where a small community has lived on the mountain slope for decades. The village is in the process of redevelopment; what remains is worth seeing while it lasts. The ridge above provides unobstructed views over the Gangnam expressway corridor to the north. Entry to the trail from the Gaepo side takes about forty minutes to the summit.
