The Han River Rail Bridge — the oldest bridge on the Han River, originally constructed in 1900 and rebuilt after its destruction in the Korean War — crosses the river between Yongsan and Noryangjin and is visible from the Yongsan riverside path below. The embankment cycling path passing under the bridge gives one of the closer views of the historic iron structure from river level. The section of the Han River between the rail bridge and the adjacent road bridge is one of the more atmospherically interesting stretches on the Seoul waterfront — freight and passenger trains cross overhead at regular intervals while cyclists and joggers pass below.
