Hannam-dong Japanese Restaurant Street (한남동 일식거리)

A concentration of Japanese restaurants — ramen, omakase sushi, izakaya, tonkatsu — operates on the streets behind the main Hannam-daero thoroughfare. The quality reflects the local clientele: diplomatic staff, creative industry workers, and the residents of the high-end apartment blocks nearby. Several of the omakase counters require advance reservation weeks out; the ramen shops and izakayas operate walk-in. One of the better Japan-quality Japanese dining concentrations outside of Japan.
