Iksan Mireuksa Temple Ruins Largest Baekje Pagoda

📍 Iksan, Jeollabuk-do

The archaeological ruins of Mireuksa Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the Baekje Kingdom, contain the oldest surviving stone pagoda in Korea. Only one of the original three pagodas remains partially standing and has been under careful restoration since 2001, with the restoration capsule records revealing contents from the 7th century. The site is part of the Baekje UNESCO Historic Area.
