Imsil Swiss Cheese Village European Pastoral Korea

📍 Imsil, Jeollabuk-do

A Belgian priest who settled in Imsil in the 1960s introduced European cheese-making to Korea, creating an industry that now forms the identity of this small Jeonbuk town. The Swiss-themed village has cheese workshops open to visitors. The pastoral valley landscape of rolling green hills with dairy cows is unlike the typical Korean rural scenery. The cheese pizza here claims the original recipe brought from Belgium.
