Baedam Valley in Inje County runs from the entrance gate to Baedam Temple through a series of river crossings over the Baedam stream — a clear mountain river with exposed white granite bedrock that gives the valley its characteristic appearance. The trail is 7 kilometres from the entrance to the temple and requires crossing the river multiple times on stepping stones; in summer the water is shallow and the crossings are accessible without equipment. The valley was the site of Han Yong-woon's residence and the poet's hermitage at the temple end is a literary heritage site. The valley is at its best in early autumn when the forest around the granite banks turns.
