Jegi-dong Gyeongdong Herb Market Oriental Medicine
📍 Jegi-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul
The largest traditional Korean medicine herb market in Seoul, operating since 1960 in a covered arcade that is 700 meters long. The market supplies nearly every traditional medicine clinic in Seoul and the retail section sells dried herbs, medicinal teas, and health tonics. The smell is overwhelming in a sensory way. Root vegetable vendors occupy the outdoor section while the rarer ingredients are inside.
