The Suyeong River banks in Mangmi-dong have been developed into a long riverside park that Busan residents use constantly for evening runs, cycling, and weekend barbecues — almost no foreign tourists ever visit it. The stretch between Mangmi Bridge and Sports Complex Station is particularly lively on Friday evenings when food trucks set up and amateur baseball leagues play under lights. It's the closest thing Busan has to Seoul's Han River parks, but with a genuinely local crowd. The adjacent Suyeong Historical District preserves a handful of 1940s Japanese colonial-era buildings including an old customs house that photographers know about but tour operators ignore. Subway: Mangmi Station (Line 3), 5-minute walk to the riverbank.
