The waterfront path running along the Mapo riverside connects several quieter sections of the Han River park that local cyclists and runners use as a regular circuit. The stretch between Mapo Bridge and Yanghwa Bridge passes through stretches with almost no commercial development — no food vendors, no rental stations, just the river and the opposite bank. Early morning visits coincide with sunrise over the water; the western orientation means the light is particularly good in the final hour before dusk. The path connects directly to the main cycling route along the south bank.
