The hill park running along the ancient city wall between Hyehwa and Ihwa-dong offers the best unobstructed view of central Seoul's old urban fabric — dense low-rise neighborhoods stretching toward the Han River with the palace rooflines visible in the middle distance. The wall itself is restored but the hilltop fortifications and stone pathways are original. The park is quiet on weekdays and reaches the viewpoint terraces in about 15 minutes from Hyehwa station.
