Located inside Samsung's Giheung semiconductor campus, the Samsung Innovation Museum is a free, world-class exhibition on the history of electronics and the specific industrial story of how Korea became a global technology power in a single generation. The exhibits cover vacuum tubes through integrated circuits through modern semiconductors with genuine engineering depth — not a sanitized corporate PR exercise. The scale model of the Giheung fab complex and the hands-on interactive sections on chip manufacturing processes are particularly well done. Reservations are required and can be made online; the campus itself gives a rare look at the physical footprint of Korea's most strategically important industry. Allow at least two hours.
