Seongsu Coffee Street (성수 카페거리)

The stretch of Seongsu-dong between Seoul Forest station and the main tannery district has the highest density of specialty coffee in eastern Seoul. Former factory buildings and leather workshops were converted early and the conversions are good — exposed concrete, industrial ceilings, natural light from retrofitted skylights. Several of the cafés here attract lines on weekends but are manageable by Tuesday morning.
