Two royal tombs from the Joseon dynasty — Seonreung and Jeongneung — sit inside a forested park between Gangnam's office towers, open to walk through for a small entry fee. The burial mounds rise from smooth grass lawns shaded by old pine trees, completely cutting off the surrounding city noise. It's the one place in Gangnam where you can understand what the land looked like before the apartment blocks arrived. Office workers eat lunch on the benches; the royal rites are still performed annually.
