Galleria Department Store
Korea's most prestigious department store and a Seoul landmark in its own right. The East Wing exterior — clad in thousands of glass discs that change colour after dark — is one of the most photographed buildings in Gangnam. The basement food hall is exceptional by any standard: imported cheeses, artisan chocolate, premium Korean produce, and a serious wine selection. Upper floors carry every major luxury label. The West Wing is slightly more accessible in price. The rooftop café has an unexpectedly good view over the Apgujeong neighbourhood. Best visited on a weekday to avoid the weekend queue at the basement deli.
