The original Seoul Station built in 1925 during the Japanese colonial period still stands beside the modern rail terminal, now operating as Cultural Station Seoul 284 — an arts and culture venue. The Renaissance-style dome and red brick exterior are the most distinguished colonial-era architecture remaining in central Seoul. Inside, the old waiting hall and its original tile floors host exhibitions, performances, and film screenings. Entry is free for most programming.
