Sinchon Bar & Restaurant District (신촌 먹자골목)

📍 Sinchon-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul

The eating and drinking area around Sinchon station has been serving Yonsei and Ewha students since the 1970s. Cheap and very good Korean fried chicken, dakgalbi, and all-night pojangmacha fill the lanes off the main street. The atmosphere on weekend nights is genuinely chaotic in a way that Hongdae — now considerably more expensive — no longer manages. This is still student Seoul.
