Samsung Electronics' Hwaseong and Giheung semiconductor fabs in Yongin's Giheung-gu form the world's largest semiconductor manufacturing complex by output value — the physical origin of the Korean electronics export economy and the dominant employer in the Yongin-Suwon technology corridor. The Samsung Innovation Museum in Suwon (accessible by shuttle from Giheung) provides the public-facing interpretation of the company's technology history from transistor radios to current processor generations. The Giheung area road approach to the campus gives a ground-level view of the fab building scale — clean-room manufacturing buildings the size of small stadiums.
