The hill road climbing south from Noksapyeong station was Itaewon's most interesting street before rents pushed most of the originals out. Enough survived — or came back cheaper — to make the walk worth doing. Independent wine bars, small fusion restaurants, and a few genuinely good coffee spots hold on between the newer chains. The hill itself is steep enough to keep the casual foot traffic lower than it should be.
