A dam reservoir in the mountains north of Seoul that is surrounded by dense broadleaf forest turning to brilliant red in autumn. The lake surface reflects the mountain ridges in the still morning water. A small island accessible by footbridge holds a pine grove picnic area. Day-trippers from Seoul arrive in numbers on autumn weekends but the early morning belongs to local fishermen casting from the dam wall.
