Busanjin Seomyeon Food Alley (부산진 서면 먹자골목)

📍 Busanjin-gu, Busan

Seomyeon in Busanjin-gu is the primary commercial and entertainment centre of Busan's interior — the equivalent of Hongdae or Sinchon in Seoul but operating on a distinctly Busan food economy. The Seomyeon Meokja Alley behind the main commercial strip is the most concentrated street food and casual restaurant zone in Busan: dwaeji gukbap (pork rice soup) at 24-hour operations, raw oyster plates, and the Busan-style jjajangmyeon at operations that have been in the same spot for decades. The surrounding Seomyeon area holds the highest density of independently owned bars and live music venues in Busan.
