The streets running north of Hansung University station through the Samseon-dong neighborhood hold a dense concentration of student-facing cafes and small restaurants alongside one of the lesser-known mural circuits in northern Seoul. The murals here are more recent than the Ihwa-dong ones and take a more contemporary visual approach. The area's residential character has been preserved better than Hongdae or Yeonnam despite the university presence. The steep alley streets climbing toward Naksan give abrupt views over the rooftops toward Namsan on clear days.
