Korean Folk Village Yongin (용인 한국민속촌)

📍 Giheung-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do

The Korean Folk Village in Yongin is the most complete open-air museum of traditional Korean material culture in the country — a 243-hectare site with over 260 traditional buildings arranged by regional type (southern, central, and northern Korean building traditions) and staffed by performers demonstrating traditional crafts, farming practices, and performance arts. The tightrope walking, the farmer's music, and the wedding procession demonstrations operate on a daily schedule. Unlike comparable sites in other countries, the craftspeople here perform working techniques rather than demonstrations, and the scale of the site allows genuine immersion. The site is accessible from Seoul by bus from Suwon in about 20 minutes.
