Yangpyeong Cycling and River Circuit (양평 자전거·강변 코스)

Yangpyeong is the most accessible day-trip cycling destination from Seoul — under an hour by train from Cheongnyangni — and the river corridor where the South Han River and North Han River converge provides a flat cycling circuit through rice paddy and riverside landscape. The traditional market in Yangpyeong town runs on specific market days and sells produce from the surrounding agricultural valley. Several riverside pension operations cater to weekend cyclists. The light in the valley in the late afternoon, with the river and the surrounding mountains, is consistently better than most of what is visible from within the Seoul boundary.
