The area around Oksu station sits on a raised bluff above the Han River with residential streets that give intermittent views over the water and the Banpo district to the south. The neighbourhood has the character of an older riverside residential area that has not yet been transformed by the redevelopment wave that has swept through nearby Seongsu. Several independent cafes have opened in the residential street conversions facing the river, and the Han River access path below the station provides a quiet cycling and running route that connects to the Ttukseom zone to the east. Best visited on weekdays when the riverside streets are calm.
