The Sangbong area at the confluence of Jungnangcheon and the outer cycling network functions as the practical starting point for long-distance cycling routes heading toward the Han River, the East Sea cycle path, and the Four Rivers trail. Early morning on weekdays, the embankment access here is used almost exclusively by serious commuter cyclists. The junction cafes that open from 5:30 a.m. exist entirely for this population — strong instant coffee, kimbap, and a seat before a long ride. The atmosphere is straightforward and functional in a way that Seoul's cycle culture hubs elsewhere are not.
