A narrow restored stream running downhill from the northern Seongbuk-dong hillside through the old neighbourhood toward Bomun-dong. The stream corridor is lined with willows and stone-paved paths wide enough for two people side by side — intimate in scale compared to the wider Cheonggyecheon. The surrounding neighbourhood is one of the best-preserved pre-redevelopment residential areas in Seoul: low walls, persimmon trees hanging over alleys, tile-roofed houses that predate the apartment era. The walk from Gilsangsa Temple to the Bomun Lake end takes about 40 minutes one-way.
