Seongsu Tannery District (성수 수제화거리)

Seongsu-dong built its identity on leather. The tanneries and cobbler workshops have been here since the 1970s and many are still operating, now surrounded by design studios, record shops, and restaurant pop-ups that moved in because rents were low. The smell of leather is real. Bespoke shoe workshops accept custom orders and a few sell directly from the workbench.
