Yangpyeong sits at the intersection of two Han River cycling paths, making it the natural overnight stop for Seoul cyclists doing the full Han River route. But the circuit through the traditional market and along the back roads between the river and the hills is something locals do on weekend mornings that almost no foreign cyclist has discovered. The Yangpyeong Intercity Market operates on a 5-day cycle (days ending in 4 and 9) and sells river fish, mountain vegetables, and handmade tofu in quantities that suggest a local customer base, not a tourist one. Cycle rental shops cluster near Yangpyeong station. The 15-kilometer loop through Dumulmeori and back along the south bank takes about two hours at an easy pace.
