고성 화진포 해변 및 석호 이승만 별장

📍 Goseong, Gangwon-do

A scenic lagoon separated from the East Sea by a sand bar, backed by pine forest in eastern Gangwon Province near the North Korean border. The lagoon is home to migratory birds year-round. The villas where the first Korean president and other historical figures retreated are preserved as small museums. The beach on the ocean side is unspoiled and quiet compared to Sokcho.
