Korea's former presidential residence, closed to the public for 74 years and opened in May 2022. The complex includes the main Presidential Office building with its iconic blue-tiled roof, several ceremonial halls, a traditional garden, and a walking trail up the Bugaksan hillside behind the compound. Free admission; reservation required online (opens two weeks ahead). The spring garden visit with cherry blossoms is the most sought-after slot. Walking the grounds takes 1–2 hours. Combined with Gyeongbokgung, this is one of Seoul's most significant new visitor experiences of the decade.
