Gunsan Modern History Art Road Japanese Architecture

📍 Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do

A port city that retained its Japanese colonial-era architecture after liberation better than most Korean cities, making it the most complete example of early 20th-century treaty port urbanism in Korea. Granaries, customs buildings, and merchant houses from the 1920s have been converted to cafes and galleries. A walking map of 15 historical buildings can be completed in three hours.
