Bogil Island's secondary landscape beyond the Yoon Sundo garden complex is the bamboo forest trail system on the island's central ridge — a dense moso bamboo grove traversed by hiking paths that give filtered light conditions similar to Damyang's Juknokwon but in an island coastal setting. The ridge trail above the bamboo gives views over the southern Yellow Sea island chains and the ferry route to Wan Island. The combination of the scholar garden heritage (Bugyujeong), the bamboo forest, and the sea views makes Bogil Island among the most richly layered single-island experiences in South Jeolla Province.
