The Yeosu Maritime Cable Car crosses the harbour between Dolsan Bridge and the Jasan Park ridge, giving suspended views over the Yeosu waterfront and the Hallyeo Maritime National Park island chain. The gondola trip takes about 15 minutes one way; the ridge terminus provides a panorama over the multi-island seascape that defines Yeosu's geography. Dolsan Island below is connected by bridge and holds the Hyangilam hermitage carved into the southern cliff face — a 9th-century Buddhist site accessible via a steep 300-metre path from the parking area, worth combining with the cable car in a half-day circuit. The evening view from the cable car with the waterfront lights on is one of the more photographed night shots in southern Korea.
