Dorasan is the last train station in South Korea before the North Korean border — the departure board still lists Pyeongyang as a destination, 205 kilometers north, though no train has run there since 2008. The station was built with reunification in mind and operates as a functioning rail terminus with a small platform visitors can access on a guided pass. The empty northbound tracks, the unstaffed ticket windows, the Pyeongyang distance marker — the whole place functions as a monument to suspended possibility. Combine it with Imjingak and the Third Tunnel for a coherent half-day itinerary through the DMZ Zone. A security checkpoint is required; bring your passport.
